How to get it

Hired at a dealer, sponsored by the dealer, attend factory training (usually 1–4 weeks at the manufacturer's training center). Online modules + in-person practical. Recertify every 1–3 years.

Cost

Free to the technician — paid by the dealer in exchange for a 1–2 year work commitment (clawback if you leave early).
