ABYC ElectricalAmerican Boat & Yacht Council certification covering ABYC E-11 (DC and AC electrical), batteries, charging, and marine wiring standards. The single most-used cert in the trade.

- Marine technicians performing any 12V/24V DC, AC shore-power, generator, inverter, or lithium battery work.
- How to get it
- Complete the ABYC Marine Electrical course (3β5 days, in person or online), pass the proctored exam, maintain ABYC membership. Renews every 5 years with continuing education.
- Cost
- $1,000β$1,800 course + ~$95β$280/yr ABYC membership. Many MA dealers reimburse.
